THE BUSINESS
atelier-caricature.co.uk is operated by Sébastien Rieu, sole trader, based in Bordeaux, France. Contact: sebrieu@yahoo.fr. By placing an order, you agree to these terms.
THE COMMISSION PROCESS
All products on this site are personalised and made to order. The process is:
- You place an order and upload a reference photo
- Sébastien creates a pencil sketch (3–5 working days)
- You receive the sketch for approval — one round of revisions is included
- Once approved, the artwork is completed and printed
- The finished product is dispatched to your UK address
Nothing is printed or produced without your explicit approval of the sketch.
PERSONALISED GOODS — CANCELLATION RIGHTS
Under the UK Consumer Contracts Regulations 2013, personalised goods are exempt from the standard 14-day right to cancel once production has begun. This means:
- You may cancel your order free of charge before sketch approval
- Once you have approved the sketch, production begins and cancellation is no longer possible
- If there is a genuine error or defect in the finished product, we will offer a reprint or refund — see our Returns Policy
PRICES AND PAYMENT
All prices shown on the website are in GBP (£) and include any applicable VAT. Payment is processed securely via Ecwid and Stripe. We do not store payment card details. Prices are subject to change without notice — the price at the time of order applies.
Note: Payment is currently processed in EUR via our European Ecwid account. Your bank may apply a currency conversion rate. A dedicated GBP payment option will be available in future.
DELIVERY
Standard delivery to mainland UK is free and takes 2–4 working days from dispatch. Total time from order to delivery is 10–14 days. Scottish Highlands, Islands, Northern Ireland, and other remote areas may take longer or incur additional charges — contact us before ordering if you are unsure.
INTELLECTUAL PROPERTY
All artwork created by Sébastien Rieu remains his intellectual property. By purchasing a commission, you receive a licence to use the artwork for personal, non-commercial purposes. The artwork may not be reproduced, resold, or used commercially without written permission from Sébastien Rieu.
PHOTOS SUBMITTED BY CUSTOMERS
You confirm that you have the right to submit any photos you upload — either because they are of you, or because you have permission from the subject. Sébastien Rieu accepts no liability for claims arising from photos submitted without proper consent.
GOVERNING LAW
These terms are governed by English law. Any disputes will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.
